No, Ken Brown Recovery is a supportive 90-day addiction treatment program.
A supportive treatment is a program with minimal programming where the
residents build their own recovery via the 12-step recovery model. One in which
residents receive a lot of free time to find constructive activities to reclaim their
lives. Whereas an intensive treatment program is one in which it is highly
structured, with little free time.
Ken Brown does not support employment while you are a resident in the 90-day
program. This time is reserved for working on a recovery program.
Yes, Ken Brown does support residents attending short-term intensive treatment
i.e., 30-to-40-day programs in which we will hold the bed until the resident
returns, however, long-term treatments, 3 months or longer, will require the
resident to reapply to the program.
This is difficult to answer, as once an applicant is put on the wait list, applicants
are instructed to call every Monday between 7 am and 8 am to keep their place on the list. Once a bed becomes available, the intake coordinator will contact you. If you miss 2 weekly check-ins, you will be taken off the list and will need to reapply.
Ken brown does not accommodate the following medications:
Opioids *this includes Kadian..
Benzodiazepines
Opioid agonist therapy (OAT) is permitted

Phase II is an 8-bed transitional home with stays up to 6 months (with 2 beds as
one-year flexes). Unfortunately, not all residents in Phase will get the opportunity
to go to Phase II because of mitigating factors such as bed availability.
Prospective candidates are those who are excelling in the Phase I home and
their personal program of recovery.
Men who find themselves incarcerated can apply from jail/prison. However, Ken Brown cannot take legal authority over anyone or be a surety. We require that an inmate has time served before arriving to our home.
